Free Heidi Swapp Florals!

Just reminder that I'm giving away a brand new package of the new Heidi Swapp Florals. Upload your Easter layouts new or old in the gallery at MBI ( Link over there ------>)

Lazy Sunday.

It's a lazy Sunday for the kids and I today. Mike and his brother left early this morning to drive up to Orlando for Wrestle Mania. He was way excited. You know it's one of those childhood dream things. So the kids and I are sitting around the house. I wish it was warmer outside so we could go swimming. It feels like a relaxing day around the pool kind of day. Just a few more months and we should be able to jump in.

The layout above is an old one but I love the picture! The swirly designs around the big picture and the fish on the small picture where made by drawing the design of the back of the picture and then sanding the embossed design from the front. Just something a little different to try.

Planning for company

I've been busy this week planning for some company. My mom and her husband are flying down next weekend for a long weekend. It's been about 5 months since we've seen them and both the kids and I are very excited. We are going to stay the whole weekend in Orlando. We are going to eat at the Rain Forest Cafe at Downtown Disney the first night. The second day we are going to take it easy at the villa and then check out Wonder Works that night. Sunday is the busy day! We are going to Hollywood Studios for the entire day. It's the only Disney park that mom and Greg have not been too. I wish the new Toy Story ride would be open but it's not going to open until sometime this summer.

More Easter Past layouts.

Past Easter layouts.

I thought I should upload some past Easter layouts. I'm having a hard time getting with it this year. I'm glad this early Easter thing only happens once in my lifetime. We aren't doing anything special for Good Friday. Mike is at work and I'm being lazy.

School stress!

Our public school isn't a horrible school but it's not great or even good. Out of a 1-10 scale it was rated a 6. The school we really wanted Braden to attend has a 40 person waiting list. O Crap! We have narrowed it down to 3 charter schools now. Two are rated 10s and one is rated a 8. We went and visited the 8 tonight. It's the school Mike is really wanting. I'm not 100% yet. I want to visit a couple more before I decided for sure.

It's a nice big school (900 students prek-8) and new. This is only it's second year. The size makes me a little nervous. That's a lot of kids in one school. There are 7 kindergarten classes and they keep them seperated from the rest of the school population. They have their own private playground, bathroom, and a private library. So I guess he will be safe. I'm just overly protective. I can admit it.

Happy St Patty Day ALL!

Happy St Patrick's Day! My kids have had a great time running around in the house in their Dollar Store hats. I've already started the layout so as soon as my pics get here I'll post the finished product.
I can't believe Easter is just a few days away. I'm so not ready! My mom did send the kids some new outfits so that is taken care of but I have nothing else! Today Braden and I signed up to bring juice to Braden's prek Easter party. He was not happy with the choices. The teacher doesn't want any cookies, cupcakes, candy, etc. The party is going to be fruit and veggies with dips. When I asked Braden what he wanted to bring to the party, he immediately responded "cupcakes!". After I told him we couldn't bring cupcakes he said, " What kind-of party doesn't have cupcakes?" I'm with him though. A party should be fun. I don't think a little sugar from time to time will send the kids into obesity for life. It's not my call though. I'm thinking we may make some fun little sugary gifts for everyone to take home.
Oh I almost forgot.... there is a contest over at MBI for Easter layouts. Every layout or project uploaded and linked to the baby book forum gets entered into a drawing for Heidi Swapp florals. Just thought I'd share in case anyone out there scraps and has some Easter stuff around.

Awwww Saturday!

I just love Saturdays. Today the kids and I are having a very relaxed day at home. We are watching Barbie Mariposa for the like the 20th time (Ashlyn is now 100 % Barbie Girl). I did some cleaning and I'm going to try to get some scrappin' done. I have so many pictures to catch up on.
Mike is out of the house today. He is helping his brother move. I'm guessing he will be gone most of the day. Today is one of those days I wish I could pile the kids into the car and go visiting. I'd like to run over to my grandparents house and say hi or spend the afternoon shopping the mall with mom. I would even like to go over to Dad's so my kids can run around wild. I think Dad's is Braden's favorite place in Arkansas. His house is totally opposite of ours. He has lots of land with all types of animals, trees to climb, tractors and four wheelers to ride on, and lots of dirt to dig in. We don't get to visit Arkansas as often I wish we could. We usually get to go every other year. It's just so expensive and stressful to visit as a family of 4.
Mom and Greg are coming the first week of April for their spring visit. That is exciting! My kids love showing Nan and Greg their Florida. Braden gets pretty sad when they leave though. A few days ago he said he wanted to move Arkansas to Florida so we could live both places. I wish we could too.

Just some new pages

Here's the layouts I finished last night at the mini crop. I didn't get as much done as I was hoping but I altered 2 cookie cutters for a class I'm going to post at MBI (LINK OVER THERE--->) this weekend. That took up a lot my evening. I'm not the best a altering stuff so I really had work on them. The top layout is the first Valentine's day layout that I've done since Ashlyn's first ( 4 years ago). The bottom layout is my favorite picture of Ashlyn on her birthday. How cute is she? This layout is for the Savvy Scrappers Club so that's another $1 to spend in the store. I wonder what I'll spend all this $$$ I'm earning on?

BABY LAYOUT OF THE WEEK

I'm the mod of the Baby Album thread at Memory Book Inspirations (link is over there--->) we have a new weekly baby layout contest. It's not really a contest. What I do is every Saturday I pick a new layout featuring a child from the MBI gallery to highlight in the thread. I send a little prize to say thank you for letting me highlight your page. So everyone should give it a try. The layout doesn't have to be an orginal for MBI. It has no product restrictions. It just as simple as registering at MBI and the MBI gallery and uploading a few of your favorite layouts. The last few weeks I sent out packages of MAMBI bling. I've also sent out acrylic stamps and Prima flowers as prizes. I would love for all you reading to join in the fun. :)

Pictures from Morocco

My silent Disney mission is to have a picture with every Disney character. It is a big dream but that's what Disney is all about Dreams and Magic. Aladin is Mike's favorite Disney movie so this last trip we went to see the characters at Epcot. This is the first time we ventured off the main track through the countries and boy where we surprised. I had no idea that the "coutries" went back so deep. The buildings were beautiful and the shops where full of fun items! Below is a slide show of the pictures of Morocco-Epcot.
